LEAD EMBEDDED CONTROL ENGINEER

LEAD EMBEDDED CONTROL ENGINEER – TO: $150K plus equity
WOBURN, MA

Power Technology Associates, Inc. has been retained to staff a senior level Embedded Software Engineer. Our client is a pre-IPO provider of advanced power electronics products for the electric grid. Position is responsible for the architecture and lead design, development and implementation of the embedded control for medium voltage multi-level inverter, single and three phase grid-tie inverter as well as high frequency converters.

Skills required:

• 7+ Years experience C/C++ and Assembly for real time applications.
• 7+ Years experience with embedded software control
• Able to carry a design task from concept to implementations.
• Ability to create engineering requirements, document, and test new firmware designs.
• Experience with interrupt driven designs and real-time processing.
• Implement digital signal processing (DSP) concepts in a processor environment
• Ability to use oscilloscope, power meters etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot firmware related issues within a complex system.
• Experience with TI processor TMS320F28335 is a plus
• Support end customer during technical design reviews and with general engineering questions, documentation, and troubleshooting in conjunction with test and service engineering staff.

Education: BS or MSEE
